Howdy, I’m Arthur!

I’m a documentary photographer and have been working predominately with 35mm film for the last 2 years. I was born and raised in northern Michigan, lived in Ohio for a few years, and recently made the big move to Seattle, WA! I am passionate about creating photos that reflect the feeling and memory of a specific moment in time. I gravitate toward film because I feel it forms a deeper connection between the photographer, the subject, and a moment.

My personal photography is largely inspired by the nature around me as well as the connections between people that we experience on a day to day basis. Outside of photography, my hobbies tend to be outdoorsy in nature as well - I love backpacking, rock climbing, roadtripping, reading, and skateboarding. As for my day job, I have been a zookeeper since 2021, with some of my favorite critter colleagues being bonobos, lemurs, bald eagles, river otters, and bobcats.
